Injector orings replaced.

Well, finally got around to replacing the orings. Unfortunately, the old ones didn't look TOO bad. I say that because if they were obviously junk the. It would explain a lot.

After finally starting it, let it idle for a little bit, drove it about ten miles at 70 mph, but still have a dead miss and buck. Not as bad now, and power is better at hwy speeds so it wasn't a complete waste.

I still have long crank times now, where as before it always fired right up. Attributing that to air in the system? I guess I'll know for sure after some miles have been put on it how much of a true difference new orings have made.

Looks like I'll have to get new injectors after all. Read over riff raffs diagnostics of injectors and seems to point to the plunger and barrel. Stage 1's here I come. Just not for a few months.

Some people have to do over 100miles before the air gets all out.

Richard

EDT: see rosewood for injectors.

I still am experiencing a hard cold start. Not sure what's going on. But it wasn't really noticeable intill after the o rings. Truck otherwise runs fine. Idle is still rougher than if like.

Basically all this to say I'm subscribing. Haha.

I hear ya. Starting has gotten a little quicker but not like it was before. Only started it twice today, both times took 3-4 seconds where as yesterday took 5-7. Getting better but only put about 6 miles on it today.

Still has dead miss. Idle is smooth in both park and in gear. Before idle was smooth in gear but not so much in park.

Still leaning towards new injectors. I will for sure go with Jim at Rosewood. Just gotta save that money.
