Wiper Governor prices

I am curious what is the going rate for a used Wiper Governor?

I found some on ebay but I dont like the idea of forking over close to $80 for a used unit that isnt even verified to work.

I been trying to search online junkyards to find what I want but I fear I might have to deal with the guys that dont know a 89 from a 09 from the local junkyards.

LMC has them for $120 Truck Parts and Truck Accessories

Denis Carpenter has it for $45. Windshield Wipers | Dennis Carpenter Ford Restoration Parts

I wonder why so cheap I suspect it is out of stock or incorrectly listed - but I'd start with them.

Edit: OOPS - I see why it is so cheap - its for a 94-97. Sorry I was searching in the 80-86 group but somehow got redirected.

Same thing happened to me.

I thought thoses were for 80 - 91 but they werent when I saw them last night.

I found one off ebay that is $25 and they say it works its out of a bronco but I hope they are right about it being a 1980 - 91 and its not a 70 - 79.

I might just take the chance on it and buy it.

~update~

No email from the seller on the part number so I went ahead and picked it up for $39 after shipping and said to hell with it. If it doesnt work I will request a refund other wise I will use it till it stops working then replace what ever stops working.

Have you tried soldering the one you have?

Or, are you looking to add intermittent wipers to your truck?

Looking to add, truck never had them and its a pain in the *** turning them on and off every time the windshield gets enough water on it in a misting rain.
