I just purchased my first 97-03 pick up, the only body stlyes I like are crew cab short bed or single cab flare side, so I bought a CLEAN single cab flare side for 3k. She has the 4.2 that has two trouble codes, a miss fire on cyclinder 2 and a 02 sensor rich on bank 1.

Do yall think if I correct the miss fire it will straight en up the 02 sensor code?


I have acouple plans for this truck, im going to lower the rear end 2inches to level her out and I want to put factory expedition aluminum mags, cold air intake, and possibly headers and a cam along with supporti mg mods later on down the road.

Well if it works I attached a picture of my new truck

 

Correct the misfire on cyl 2 , pass side 2nd from front. Clear codes and see if any codes reappear. Post the new codes here for further diagnostics.

 

Thank you sir, I pug new plus and wires on it and it seemed to help, but still had miss fire, the fuel pump fbr and fuel filter is less than 3 months old

 

She is running better but at low rpm (right at and barely off of idle) she runs kinda rought then at high rev (about 3000 rpm) she smooths out and at 50-55 the motor shakes pretty bad. But before and after 50-55 she doesnt shake.

Now there is no CEL atm. She has me baffled. Any and all help is appreciated.
