Good Gawd, where are you? I'm in Central California, and we're only paying just over 4 bucks a gallon here. For now at least.

N/M. I see you're in Ontario. Are your prices that high because of taxes, or is it a supply and demand issue for refined product?

 

Where you gonna be tomorrow? Just got here. Drove through rain almost the whole trip from St Louis.

 

It's a bit more complicated than that. An Imperial Gallon in Canada is about 153.72 oz. as opposed to a US Gallon at 128 oz. They sell gas in Canada by the litre, the average price for a litre of regular unleaded in Ontario today is $1.32514. The gallon is 4.54609 liters, so that makes an imperial gallon $6.02. If re calculated that to a US gallon, it would be $5.01 and right now $1 US is equal to $1.09 Canadian, so if account for the exchange, the price in Ontario for a US gallon in US dollars would be $4.56. Premium prices range between $1.44/1.55 a litre / $6.55/7.04 IMP Gal, would equate to $4.96/5.33 US for a US gallon.

 

A lot of it is taxes, the rest is just greed from the oil companies. Seems our government won't do anything about it because taxes are paid on percentages.

Kevin was your truck across the street from the Convention Center? I walked the swap meet stuff and didn't see one but when I left I saw a Utility on a trailer across the street. No one was around.
Had some really nice doors and fenders for sale in the swap meet stuff!!!
Most of the trucks were closed up or covered up due to the rain/mist.

 

I was there in the light rain for a few hours to day. Glad I had my rain coat. Most of the trucks were covered. I did see that good looking Blue flatbed F3 belonging to 52F3 but I didn't see him around anywhere. Talked to Bigwin56, Kevin, a few minutes. Saw OldUhaul. The vendor area inside is ok, just seems sterile, more like mall shopping and I dislike malls. Excellent facility, BTW. Had temperatures been in the high 90s, inside the center would be the place to be.
The swap meet area has moved toward the Leconte center. The old flea market area is now parking.

 

Where'd you see Kevin (Bigwin56). Hope to meet everyone tomorrow. Supposed to be better weather.

Kevin and OldUhaul are in the flea market area. Toward Teaster road from where 52F3's blue F3 was parked. Yeah, it is a darn shame we all could not get together. I will not make it back tomorrow. Would loved to have met you.

 

I'll probably get to the show before noon... I'll be wearing a light green supernat's t-shirt, gray hair (around the sides) with the wife.. a little short red (Sorta) red headed woman... look for an old guy with a slight limp to the right... that should be me...

I'll probably be thdre most of the day... gonna meet up with Kevin I hope and try to find Donald "Tacson" going to Memories Theatre tonite for the show.

I agree one day would be enough. I'm hoping to be able to really look at the trucks tomorrow. OBTW supposed to be high in the 50s tomorrow, low in the 40s tonight. I guess it's better than it being 90 plus...
Oh well maybe we'll meet at another time & place. I walked around for a few hours and then realized I had my FTE T shirt on UNDER MY ORANGE COAT
Now it'll be cold tomorrow so no way to stand out to other FTEers
