Kinda nice 53

I wouldn't mind having the engine out of this thing......can't handle the rear wheels/tires sticking out like that though....50th Aniv???

Good looking truck, though it's definitely not a Restoration. More of a Resto-Mod.

I will never understand why Ford put the front axle where they did though. It's obvious it's not centered in the wheel opening. They had to know it. Bugs me no end. :/

I like the wheels sticking out of the fenders a bit on these trucks. I bought 12 inch wide slot mags for mine just so they would. I'd have bought 15 inch wides if I could have afforded them. LOL!

Y'all should see the S10 concoction that's on eBay right now. I can't find it now on my phone but it's there. They took an s10 and put an f100 front and bed and blended it into the s10 cab. Wish one of y'all could find it and post a couple of the pics for future....ummmm...reference. lol.

THAT IS JUST WRONG!

It needs to be disassembled and never put back together!

The front axle was intentional.

I understand the short wheelbase part. That's fairly obvious. But what I don't get is why they didn't shift the cab and front fenders back and slide the rear fenders forward that amount to center the wheels and make it look right. LOL!

Well I would imagine atleast 2 things.

One: The wanted the driven closer to the front axle for comfort as is says in the linked text.

Second: they wanted a better weight distribution. Moving the cab, fenders, hood, grill, radiator, engine etc would conteract the whole purpose.

But One can wounder why they just didn´t modify the fender design and attachment point to the cab.

Maybe just a simple thing as designer error. Maybe they just didn´t realise the misshaps untill it was to late and didn´t want or could change it from economic perspective.

Who knows
