I was thinking about asking what it would cost to sleeve a motor. I've got all the pieces for another but it has a booboo in cyl #2. Then I realized my pocket and my wife will only let me do 1 project at a time so I oiled it up and wrapped it with round bale plastic

When I get a sleeve installed its usually 100-125 bucks. That's in a race car motor, I wouldn't think these would be much more.

Digging post holes until dark by hand??? YOU ARE NUTS BILL! Nothing personal bud, but omg! No way.

My great grandfather is 98 this year. He still has a 3 acre piece of property that he tends too. A very large garden. And even though he just passed a road test an has a relatively new car he still gets on his bicycle to go for groceries or visit people. I think the old bugger could out ride me. But like he says, "if I stop I'll just get old and die". Lol

LOL!! That's the only way I have to dig them! I dug 15 post holes about 2' deep, which doesn't sound too bad, but I live in the Appalachian mountains.....lots of rock! Out of those 15 holes I had to bust rock with a slate bar to get them close to 2'. A couple of them only made it to about 18". Gotta do what I gotta do. I built a bigger chicken house and lot for my chickens.

Me too, but there is no way I'd do more than 1 by hand. And if my skidloader was within 20 miles, that one wouldn't happen either!

I just got my rebuild kit and a bunch of other goodies from clay. Exciting. I went straight to the machinist so he can size up the holes and get started. Unfortunately they forgot to send the valve springs though. Not that it's a big issue though because the are pretty close to the same price here as clay offers them for so I told the machinist to just get them in. He's very busy right now and I don't really want anymore delays. I'll just see if clay can swap it for a gauge or something. I'm sure he'll make it right. Eta on getting the block done is 2 weeks. I'll get the heads in a couple of days so I can do the injector cups and send the tool back to clay

Hahaha. You know it. I will need to get one more of those boxes and still one from rosewood. The rest of the parts I will get locally.

I gotta agree with Nate! My heartrate always increases a little when I see a box of goodies at my house when I get home!

Sounds like you will be assembling pretty soon Nick!
