looking good, Nick! i like the red and black look and those fuel lines look nice and clean. did you make them all up, the pull it all apart to paint, then reassemble? now that's attention to detail! i haven't even wiped the magic marker lines off mine yet :-)

one question though - you have your HPOP line on the driver side going into one port forward that stock. any particular reason for that?

Yes I did put make the lines then pull the apart. And as for the hpop lines. No reason. It's just how it seemed to work. As for attention to detail, I've been watching your threads. There I a heck of a lot of detail in those. Your doing a nice job.

It's looking real good Nick. It's good to be too busy though, helps pay the truck bills! You'll get it done before too long.

Ha. I get paid salary Darin. The more I work the less I make hourly. On the other hand the more I work the less I have to pay other people the more I can put on the mortgage the faster I pay it off the sooner I'm debt free. Lol. I'm in the process of trying to find another milker. That will hopefully help.

All this commotion about alternators, I out min on and gave it a good spin, I don't like the sound I am hearing. I kinda think the bearings are starting to go in it. Kinda makes a whir whir whir whir sound.

Sorry JP. I don't have any reason to go with a fancy big setup. I may go high output but that all depends on cost

Over the last few days I've been tinkering away at the old girl. When I pulled the motor I noticed that the water pump pulley had moved out from the pump. So I ended up getting a ih pump. Also when I pulled the motor I didn't take the fan off the old pump. Long story short I ended up breaking the belt tensioner trying to add a little extra to stop the pulley. In the end Used a ratchet strap to hold the pulley and I had to weld some flat bar to the nut and beat the flat bar with a hammer. Took me 4 hours

I also soldered the the sd harness in too

All around I think it's coming along well

Looking REALLY darn good!! Is the SD harness an upgrade? I only saw one plug instead of two. I am guessing that is the SD upgrade I see others talk about with UCVH gaskets?

Nick, that sure looks good, especially the hat on the turbo. Gives it character!

Its a good upgrade mod Byron, I did it to mine also. Some will not agree but I read that the wires are a little bigger and will not burn the plugs like the OBS. I just don't want any problems on the road so I did mine.

The sd harness has slightly larger wires which I don't think is a big upgrade. But the pins for the glow plugs are considerably larger.
Glenn I just felt the motor needed more character. That's why the hat lol. Good eye.

Thanks for the info. I am thinking when I do injectors this winter, I'll do it all since it will be apart anyways...injectors, GPs, UCVHs. That way all of my bases will be covered.
