Dolphin Guages w 64 Mustang Sender

I'm working with dolphin guages and a fuel sender from a 64 mustang. When the sender says it is full, the guage says it's empty and visa versa. Is there anything I can do. Using the sender that came from dolphin is going to be a lot of work.

Any Ideas.

I won't ask you if the sender is installed upside/down.

I just installed the Mustang tank and the Ford Motorsport antique gold guage set(made by Autometer) and I couldn't make the Motorsport supplied sender work in my tank either.

My guage wouldn't read correct but at least it moved in the right direction. The ohms for the sender and the guage have to match and I had to order the correct guage from Autometer to match the sender that came with the tank.

Do you know the ohm readings full and empty on the guage and on the sender?

Same thing here, too but with VDO gauges and an Art Morrison fuel cell. Had a speedomoter shop caibrate the two and grounded it properly and it's worked ever since.

Thanks for your help. I've been trying to get ahold of Dolphin Customer service for a couple of days now. They are always busy. Try to get an ohm reading tonight>

Dolphin Guages w 64 Mustang Sender

I ended up using the universal sender that came with my dolphin guages. It took me awhile to put it togeather but it seemed to work out fine. It senses empty fine but reads 7/8 when full.

Thanks again for all your help
