I went to install the defroster ducts in the 56 , and they seem to be the same . Both have the same curve to fit the dash on the right side . No matter how I try reversing them , the drivers side does not line up , unless I turn it around and point the hose outlet to the left . That would mean a 90 degree turn in the hose as it come from the heater . Anyone come across this problem ? These are the ducts that came off the truck . Are there different left and right ducts ?

 

Do you mean the outlets between the windshield and the dash and not the hose that goes from the heater to those outlets?

 

The driver side duct does, in fact, point down to the left and around the speedometer cable. This mandates a ninety degree bend in the defroster tubing. The passenger side comes down just to the side of the glove box. Just checked Missy Green, Dave.

Thanks Ray , strange way to set that up I wonder why the didn't make a duct with the reverse hose connection ?
