The thing that the stra goes into is the tensioner
The tubes are the deceleration/impact locks

Would they work in our trucks, with all the crap unhooked?

They are off of a BMW and I can get a set of them for 35.00......

It may be a pre-tensioner, that pulls the belt tight just before the airbags go off. At that price I have to wonder if they have been "deployed" and are no longer useful. Do you have a link?

Pre tensioner and such... I would not bother with them . If they have been deployed , they may not function properly .

Be carefull. I worked for VW, and a lot of the newer models use pirotechics to activate the belt restrainst. When we replaced the seat belt's, we used to deactivate them, and it's like firing off a gun.

Seat belts and restraints, and other safety devices are nothing to mess with. Do it right or don't do it at all. Don't try to jury rig parts and pieces in ways they are not designed to work. Like Grant said, there may be worse things that can happen than the devices not working when you need them to. There are plenty of standard restraints out there without all the extras that will get the job done without question.

I agree with everyone. Those look like pretension sensors. I would stay away from those belts unless you know exactly how they work and how to set them up. They are usually calibrated to work with specific vehicles.
