Passenger side exhaust leak

I have one of those loud, annoying, ticking style exhaust leaks on passenger side. Manifold was replaced two years ago so I'm hopeful that its a donut gasket. Went to parts store and they couldn't find one! What am I missing? How is this connection made and how do I know if it leaks, or is the manifold again? Thanks.

There is no gasket there its just a flanged metal on metal fitting, Look very closely for broken studs or a cracked manifold..

I thought I had a exhaust leak on my Cobra....Intermittant ticking noise, drove me nuts. Checked the exhaust and all tight. Ended up being a spark plug had come loose.

I have had this for a while now. As engine warms up it goes away so I have been living with this. But it is horrible. Sounds like a junk truck at start up. Looked close at manifold and cannot find anything. Have not changed plugs yet might give that a try to see if that works. Any one else have a clue on this?

I have the same problem on the same side on my truck. My truck used MLS type exhaust manifold gaskets. My truck makes a whirring (?) sound on startup and tip in.I also had to replace the gasket on the drivers side. I picked up a Fel Pro gasket set that had the fiber and steel (or aluminum) laminated construction.

What year truck and how many miles?

I called ford on my 08 with 80k miles on it that needed its second set of manifolds. I screamed and yelled and finally got them to cover 60% of the repair. Just an idea.

I am just over 100k miles. Doesn't sound like an easy, straight forward solution. Headers usually are no better. Different studs maybe? Gaskets that have worked? Any help would be great.
