Anyone know how I might locate my Grandfathers 1972 F250 4x4 Highboy? & I do have the VIN #. He bought the truck new in 1972 and had it until the 90's. No one thought I would find the VIN but I did... Going through some old papers this past week I found the VIN number written down. I was thrilled to see that hand written VIN. F26YHM8xxxx (I also have the old lic plate info). He sold it in the 90's and I want to track it down and buy it. I know he sold it to a person who lived in the same general area in Southern Illinois. The guy lived on a farm/worked on a farm. This truck was pristine and he put new wheels and tires on it. It was the light Blue color.

I would sincerely appreciate any help on how I might locate his truck. He wanted me to have it in the 90's but I lived AZ at that time and it was not possible.

I'm told the first time I rode in the Truck was when I was about 3 years old and he told me we were going deer hunting. He only took me for a ride but years later we did hunt and fish. Lots of great memories and way to many to list here.
