Redhead gear question

I have not been able to locate the info I need after searching though countless of threads. I think I am just going to go with a redhead box right from the start. The question is my 74 f-100 with the 360 has the power assist system on it now and I am wondering if the current pump will work with the steering gear as far as the lines? I am changing everything over from a 78-79 f-150 with the T style system and ordering a redhead box for a 78-79 F-150. The only thing left is to figure out the lines before I start spending some cash. Any info would be great
Thanks
Jim

I can't comment as to whether your existing hoses will work (my gut says no) but if you can't find a stock replacement you could always make custom cables to work with your pump and gearbox.

I went this route with my steering system (saginaw pump to '79 box):

Earl's Power Steering Hose - Free Shipping on All Orders @ JEGS

fittings and adapters to match:
Earl's Power Steering Adapter Fittings & Hose Ends - Free Shipping on All Orders @ JEGS

I have a couple pictures in my crew cab build thread if you want to see how it came out.

I would go with a 1978 or 79 F250 box. The install is easier and the box is much stronger, plus you will be able to use stock drag link from a 78/79 F250 and pitman arm. There are plenty of guys on here that have done the swap. You can reuse the pump but more than likely you will need new hoses.
