The wife and I will be there without our truck. Going to look at rides and see if there are any deals to be had. I am lucky enough that we can drive up for the day and enjoy the sights.

 

Carlisle is a nice day trip. We did that for Ford Nationals recently.

 

As much as I would like to come I can't commit with my work schedule. Hopefully the weather works out and everyone has a good time.

I used to go every year, all truck has gotten stagnant, every year is the same thing, they used to have concerts at night, the show field was just as it says a ''showfield'' not just expensive parking, the vendor area was packed and it took all 3 days to see all of it. The last time I looked into it the hotel rate have gotten out of hand, thats not carlisles fault, but if you go to hang out and get to know people its fine. Do they do the burn out competition any more?

To my knowledge, yes they still do the burnout competition.

Not sure what we are going to wind up doing Matt. I know Will from Va said he's going to stay at Dogwood this year.

 

As in every year of late, me, on the site! (it really is cool, free rv dump, free water, free bath houses, sit up late at night with a cold one, xm radio on low...chill out...

 

I'm going to try and make it this year. Not sure if I'll be in the showfield or not if I do it'll be the non-judged one.

Seems like a sweet show and great time. Hopefully I can make it.

Gate-N-Go registration ends Monday, June 30 so save yourself the hassles that I went through at Ford Nationals to register on-site (bad call!), which lets you bypass the registration desk and head right to the fun. Well worth the $5 off the ticket!
