Just need to know from anybody that has or had this EXACT setup, is there any rubbing?

I have possession of my brother's truck while he's in Afghanistan, and I'm looking into putting bigger tires on for him. (His request.)

He wants as close to 34" that he can fit WITHOUT rubbing on stock wheels. I believe the 295-75R18 Duratracs are as close as we'll get.

He DOES want Duratracs. (His request.)

Truck is a 2004 STOCK F-150 w/5.4L, if does have a 2" leveling kit in it. (Block type)

I have mine leveled (04 Lariat SCAB 4X4) with 305's on the same wheels. Works fine, no problems and looks much better than the 295's. Thats my 2 centavos. Renzo in Kau

 

With stock 18x7.5" wheels?

What kind of tires? One of the reason I'm looking for such a specific tire is Duratracs have very wide sidewalls.

Usually what causes your rubbing is offset of the rim. A 305 is a 10 inch wide tire and I imagine putting that on the rim would cause it not to be covered under warranty. 295 will probably be fine. Thesed trucks can run 35 without rubbing

 

What I'm running are BFG 305-65-18 AT, TA, KO, Load Range E, 3 Ply Side Wall, Aggresive Tread, rated at 65 psi.. When empty I run 45 psi., When heavily loaded with often 4000 lbs. in the bed I run 65 psi.. They are quiet for the tread design and ride good. I rotate at 5000 miles. I got on to these after the last set of ***** BFG OEM tires rated at 35 psi with 2 ply side walls. I had to order the set thru COSTCO because all the other dealers were over $200 more. Thru COSTO out the door the set was $1417.00 all included. I haul some heavy loads and some heavy boats quite often. You have more to choose from on the mainland and certainly better prices, but I'm happy with these. Thats the story. Renzo in Kau, Big Island, Hawaii

 

I have used a 305/60 18 Pro Comp Xtreme MT which is more aggresive looking that the Dura Trac without an issue. More costly of a tire but a true 10ply.

 

Fits like a charm, and looks great! Perfect! (Except for price.)

First....Bull chit. Seen 'em. No. From Pro Comps website, other than the 37" tires, the deepest tread they have is 20/32. Pro Comp Xtreme M/T 2 Radial - Pro Comp Xtreme M/T 2 Radial - Pro Comp Tires - Tires - by Pro Comp The 295-65R18 Duratracs are 18/32.

Second... Pro Comps wear out to quickly. They have too soft a compound.

Lastly....do you sell them or something? Your Pro Comps have nothing to do with this thread, nothing whatsoever.

So why are you posting twice about Pro Comps??? And not even the right size?

 

No I don't sell Pro Comp. I drive on good tires than wear, handle and look great. Living in Canada with weather from +40C to -45C and 250cm plus of snow. I rely on my tires for snow plowing and towing in summer. There is a reason why the Xtreme MTS are worth more??

 

Normally.... I'd be right there with you.

But....as I clearly stated in the first post....this was a fitment question regarding one tire and one wheel. Not looking for other suggestions. And when you are posting multiple times in more than one thread, and posting NOTHING HELPFUL or even relevant to the thread(S)....you're gonna get called out.

I'm a nice guy and I prefer to give lots of leeway, but if I have to clean up the thread again due to language I'll be forced to take my Mr. Hyde potion.

I agree, but he is still pretty new too the site. Im really not trying to stick up for him, I just dont want new users to see this and think that everyone is going to call them out
