Fwiw....slip plate is also available in spray can.
I read a couple articles about coating exhaust manifolds with it. Works great. I had brand new manifolds so it was an easy process. Mimics the look of cast and doesn't burn off.
Never thought of coating leaf springs.

How can you move the tierods to the top of the knuckles? I am use to them being tapered into the knuckle... it would involve flipping the knuckle or something like that...

And pepper makes a good point about the spray can Slip Plate. I would use that next time. Also, as you can see i full coated my springs because the coating is hydrophobic so I thought it would prevent the springs from rusting. I believe they become hydrophobic only after being worked in with friction. The areas exposed that I painted have rust sticking through again. In hind sight, I would've painted the springs with POR15 or Chassis Saver then coated the friction areas only. Also notice that I did not bother with slider pads or leaf space pads. I read that the spring pack is stronger without them

Well guys it's a sad day, the frame broke on the F150 a few days ago and unfortunately she is retired now, it broken just behind the passenger side spring tower that was fixed when I bought it. I was going down a bad road around work and when I got home I notice the passenger wheel was almost touching the fender liner then found this (pic below). The motor and bumper are he only things holding it together right now. My father-in-law wants the body and I can't afford to fix it but I can't complain I got a solid 3-4 years out of it and paid $200 for her. It's a shame I had bid plans for it but I guess I can focus of fixing the few things that the Expy needs and funnel the rest of my funds into the Super Duty. The wife gave her car to my sister-in-law and I was driving the F150 while she drove the Expy so somehow out of having 4 cars I no longer have a car in a matter of 3 weeks lol.

Are you going to part out your F150? That would probably be the way to recoup the max $$$

I am debating but my father-in-law wants the body to make a rat rod with so I may go that route with him and give him the cab and electronics and just sell the drive train. Teh bed is all rusted and not worth anything and the frame...well you know lol. I'd scrap the rest at the junk yard down the street from him. Would give the truck some new life in a way and i would recoup some cash.

Well Gents, the F150 is gone, i gave some parts to my father-in-law and junked the rest. I had it up for sale for about 2 months and got several bites but everyone ended up flaking out and i got sick of dealing with it. I had a serious inquiry every week and plans to show it to buyers the day of every time they flaked out and didn't show up. I took it down and kept some of the parts like the grille, tail lights and rims etc that are worth something and sent her off to the junk yard...sad day but i just dont have the time/money to fix it.

On to the charger and F250 though now i dont have a truck so i need to finish the F250 haha.
