Can anyone give me the part number for this bolt? It is 1.64 long. It is to replace a bolt someone had substituted in my rockers but that one is only 1.29 long. I would like to replace it so they are all the same length. Also need availability if anyone has any suggestions.
Oh yeah, I have two of his ram horn sets. No I didnt look there but I did find some in Macs. If I have the original rockers on my 272, the part number is B6A-6549-C. Maybe they can confirm its the right part and 1.64.
Okay, then you're good. Didn't want ya to get infected with that "went shopping for thermostat housing, came home with aluminum heads" syndrome. It could happen.
They got these stainless dipstick tubes w/bracket and everything too... argh.
Im not talking money, Im talking length. Im trying to match the length of the ones I have which are 1.64. Thats why the 1.40 wont work. But thanks for the offer anyway.
Yeah, was wonderin' 'bout that, pard. Ok... Well.. We'll keep a sharp eye out. There's a couple other good f100 sites that offer Y block parts. And prolly Green's, and other NOS parts vendors. Sent from my iPhone using IB AutoGroup
Ive checked every source I have and nothing. They have stopped making the screw and any NOS has been sold according to anyone I called. If anyone has a used one 1.64" Id like to know if its available.
I should have many. Will check length to make sure they are what you want, but they are the adjusters that use the jamb nut on Y's.
Nope, these are the shorter approx. 1.44 in. long adjusters. I could end your search quickly if you wanted to get a full set the normal length.
Hey I would really appreciate that Mike. I just need one to complete a set. My others are the single piece adjusters and I really do like the two piece. Its the long ones (1.64" end to end).
Outlaw, I made an edit to my post above. Nothing wrong with the jamb nuts. I've found they hold adjustment well. My '54 Ford Model 600 tractor uses jamb nuts. It hasnt needed adjustment since I rebuilt the head 10 years ago, inspite of it seeing some heavy work.
Well thanks for the offer but I really dont have a need for another set. I just want to get the one set I have in service but its just one short so there it sets. Thanks though for checking. Truck is going to be handed down to my son and Just wanted him to experience these good ol rockers.
