New here with a 1960 "bread truck"

Howdy,
Our project doesn't seem to fit in any of the pigeon holes and search turns up a list a mile long which I can't get through.
Can somebody suggest where I should be looking for info?
thanx

Hey New Guy!

Sorry I don't have your answer right off, but it might help if you posted pictures of your truck, OK? Wheels, axels, engine and some general shots if you could.

And also, give us a hint about what info you require.

Thanx,
I'll get pics soon. Need to know if the auto trans is 2 speed or 3 and if they had both how to tell the difference. (It is only 2 speed now LOL)
Then just any general info about those years vehicles.

Welcome to FTE

1953/76 P Series Parcel Delivery: So many were used by bakery companies, it's known as a "bread truck."

Ford sold these as a rolling chassis with front sheet metal, windshield and dash. The body was added by aftermarket body makers.

1957/60's could have either a 223 1V I-6 or a 292 2V Y block V8. 1960's were available with the 3 speed FX Cruise-O-Matic (14 trans pan bolt holes).

I would suggest posting pics and asking questions in the Large Truck or 1957/60 forums.
