It's a 94 F350. Brake controller under the dash is wired up but the 7 pin harness at the bumper is corroded and hacked

Wish I could find that too. In the same boat with F350. Looks like there is a 1995 cutoff date and can't find anything for older. Just wanted a 10 minute fix and not another snow ball.

Took that 13576 number, put a F4TZ in front of it, then it took me to a Ford parts site that said its been superceded by F6TZ -13576-BA

Cheapest I've found is $100. I'll hit up a JY and grab the wires and use my recepticle. Or maybe find a truck that has a 4 pin/7 pin combo plate and figure out the wiring and do it that wsy so I dont need one of those 4 pin T connectors

why bother with 20 year old plugs when you can upgrade?

i did this to both trucks.no more adapters from old style 7 round to modern 7 blade style adapters and no more 7 pin to 4 pin adapters.just plug in your commonly used, modern updated style plug of either type your trailer has and go!
both (outdated) oem went happily in the round file.

Looks good, but I'll be buying an older trailer, I cant afford a newer one. Is something 97 and older going to have that slot style connector?

7-Way Connectors

Aside from the three main lighting functions, additional pins for electric brakes, a 12 volt "hot" lead, and backup lights are available. There are two types of 7-way connectors. One has flat pins, which are often referred to as blades. The other has round pins. The round pin style is very rare. The RV style 7-way with flat pins (or blades) is very common. It is often found on newer trucks and SUVs that come equipped from the factory with a trailer hitch.

Trailer Wiring Diagrams | etrailer.com

the ones i took off my '93's were the old and now uncommon/outdated round pin style.i had to use adapters.

if your trailer has the older style, for the love of god, don't let that stop you from updating your truck.simply update the plug on the older trailer too.

this way, you'll be able to rent/borrow/buy newer etc.common trailers without trying to find old style adapter plugs so you can tow that rental/borrowed trailer.
