Bob hope all is well for you Very happy this is still on for Sept as I missed the OH meet due to electrical problems that I finally got fixed (i hope) today. If there is anything I can do to help with anything long distance please do not hesitate to ask. I have clients in the Milwaukee area so may be up there before Sept 20 so can pitch in then also if it happens.

Well, I'll be keeping an eye on those prices. At the present gas prices I am looking at about $800 in gas alone for the trip. After adding in rooms and meals I'm looking at about $1800 in expenses right now.

Saw this and figured it should be required reading for attendees:

Yah, Yah, make fun of us Wisconsinites. You fibbers talk funny too, don't you know?
The forgot "shoot it in the garbage", and "warsh clothe". I was also told we "honk" when we say words like "WisCONsin"
I remember having to study some the of the conversations down by Doc's place to figure out what was being said. Honestly, that is what makes traveling so much fun, listening to people in other parts of the country talk.

What's a "fibber"? "Warsh" is Iowa-talk, I think. How about going to the thee-A-ter?
I was married to a WI gal for a long time, the thing that bugged me was the extra negatives. Like, "Are you not going to the store?" How do you answer that?! "Yes, I'm not going to the store".

They missed the 'ania-hey' peculiar to the south side of Milwaukee and misidentified Kohler as a manufacturer of water fountains - bubblers in local parlance.
The concentration of Poles and Krauts - with a few Italians tossed into the mix - made for some interesting dynamics back in the day. We'll be sure to share some of the local history during Bobfest.

Both my dad and grandma, on my mom's side, were from West Allis and used "warsh" clothe. My grandma did spend some of her youth in Indiana but only a short period during a couple of summers. My dad was always in the Milwaukee area. They both also would use "crane" when referring to a crayon. Some times it was a little hard to understand them.
26+ years ago I married a German farm girl and moved to the farm 15 miles north of the area I grew up. The natives in this area, including my wife's family and other older farm families, intersperse little bits of German into their conversations. They also use German grammer in their English. My favorite is one used my in-laws when leaving a room at night, "Make the light out."

Well, I don't think I can get this elaborate but Dick has sent me an idea that might be more feasible. I could go around the neighborhood and gather up the necessary number of units, use them for the weekend and get them back to their rightful owners for Monday morning pick up:
The paraphrase Dick, just add a little self contained methane gas and you have a Jacuzzi.
