Plat white is easy to keep clean. Shows very few swirl marks and a DA will clean them up nice.
It just doesn't pop like Ruby Red after a couple layers of sealant. I'm sure there will be a day where I won't enjoy some quality time detailing the truck, but I enjoy looking at the Red's final results.

Thanks for the DA info. I normally sell vehicles involved in accidents as I can't bare knowing they were damaged. Sad but true; no matter how good the shop is. I've heard that about the white platinum but most metalic paints that were hard to match seem to be easier with current technology.
Anyways, time to throw some steaks and shrimp on the Big Green Egg. Talk at you all later.

Not set in stone yet... Last time we went up thru Rooseville and I kinda stair stepped the interstates up. (Mostly because they were closed or had bad weather) Originally I wanted to shoot straight up and across I80/I90 and into Glacier National Park. On edit -we did make it GNP. But I don't need to see the park again this time around.
Thinking of trying that again and going into Canada in SK. I don't feel that the extra 200-300 miles to stay in the lower 48 is worth it for the cheap(er) fuel.
Any suggestions?

I would love to see Yellowstone and depending on how our drive out works, that might happen... I may have to drive the wife's car up with her first and then fly back to pick up my truck and our things. Mainly because I may not be totally done down here and will need my ride here, while she will need her car there to start work. Since it only costs $400-$500 in fuel to drive her ultra-fuel efficient vehicle up and she will have it to use immediately, it beats the $2500 they want to ship it and a months car rental expense.... And a plane ticket is $350 one way back per person. SO... $850ish vs. $3500... Seeing as how finances are tight and I have plenty of time to take going up/back, I plan on going with the less expensive option.
Now I am trying to get everything taken care of so we can just caravan up in one trip...

I dont mind marchare011, I hit up Grand Teton National park and Yellowstone for two weeks last June and I'm heading to Glacier National park in august myself. Dakster, if time permits and you never been there I suggest a drive up through Grand Teton National park from Jackson to the south entrance of Yellowstone. Yellowstone is beautiful and you'll see more wildlife there but I think the Tetons got one up on Yellowstone.
