Last look before paint, dropped off at painters

runs and drives. Power disc brakes at all 4 corners, power steering, fuel injection, automatic overdrive, and about 300 hp. the suspension in the front is VERY stiff, so I think I will swap out for some softer springs. A few other odds and ends and bugs to work out, but it runs and I am happy.

That is almost true, but this truck is actually not for me, it is primarily Jackie's

do you have a timeline with your painter? there is nothing more frustrating than watching the summer go by with little or no progress. my block was at the machine shop from mid january to mid june last year. jackie is a lucky girl. looks like she is ready to hit the road now. dick r.

Something waited on is something more treasured once delivered.

Interesting story about Giant Bicycle Co in China. They developed a fitting system that was put in place in each bicycle shop. A buyer would sit on the adjustable fitting bike and have it custom fitted to them. They would then select the color, decals, etc and the shop owmer would press a button and the whole order was transmitted directly to the factory. The bike was built and ready to deliver in one day...BUT they did not ship it for two weeks because they wanted the buyer to "anticipate" the delivery and appreciate it more once it arrived. Cool story.

Where this all goes awry is when the anticipated delvery date is missed, hopefully your shop will keep to schedule. Good luck, that will be one fine truck.

You must be excited. I'm looking forward to getting to that point some day. By the way what is the seat out of?

seat is out of a new explorer, the second row seat. Fits perfect in the 51.

They are available new from a lot of police vehicle removals.
