Boasting about a small victory and one dumb question

The temperature inside my garage is finally warm enough to handle sheet metal, so I'm back test fitting all the front end body parts on my "53 F-100 before I turn to painting. With the installation of new hinges, I actually have a hood that closes tight at the cowl without having to walk around and push the rear corners down. Along with the new hinges, I got some new wavy washers that fit on the hinge pivot bolts. Dumb question: do they go between the bolts and the hinge arms, or between the hood and the hinge arms? And, while on the subject of hinges, does anyone know where I can get a couple of those big washers used on the two outside bolts at each hinge? These are the ones that have a side shaved off and have been made with gripping teeth stamped in.
