Whats the difference between Dana 44 6E and 6CF

I'm trying to buy front drums for my 1973 F250 Highboy 4x4. I have to choose between drums that fit the following axles:

Dana 44-6CFHD 3500lb Axle
Dana 44-6E 44-6F; 3000 & 3300 lb Axle

We can't find any identification numbers on the axle itself. How can I visually tell the difference between the 6E and 6CFHD?
