Cab and bed don't line up (drivers side_
Looking at buying a 2002 F150 5.4 XLT supercab short bed. Seems great all around, clean title, even talked to former owner's son (only owner, traded it, it's at a dealer now) and it was meticulously cared for, no accidents or body work.
But when you look at the driver's side, the bed is about an inch inset from the back of the cab. On the passenger side it looks like I'd expect it to, but if you run your hand along the driver's side it would move inward toward the centerline of the vehicle when you got to the bed instead of running smoothly from cab to bed. Is that a design idiosyncracy like the driver's side tire protruding more out from the quarterpanel on the late 70s F150s?
Sorry for no photos.
