1984 F250 STOCK WHEEL SPECS?
#2
I can answer your question using technical data from my wheel references. Maybe one of the others has period Ford references that could show other optional wheels that were offered. I found no differentiation 4wd vs 2wd.
The stock 1984 F-250 wheel is Ford number E5TA 1015KA. The primary supplier to Ford appears to have been Kelsey-Hayes. Their number for the wheel is 109291. The National Wheel and Rim Association (NWRA) cross reference code is X-45304. Accuride also lists the wheel under their number 28378 and NWRA code X-45234.
Both of these wheels have the same technical description. The wheel is 16" x 6" having a 5° rim profile and "K" drop center profile. The "K" is diagramed below. The center disc has a 8 x 6.5" bolt circle and uses 60° cone lug nuts. The center bore (hole) is 4.88" in diameter. The wheel mounting surface is 1/2" forward of the rim center line. This would be called a 1/2" positive offset. The center disc has "outie" hub cap nubs. A 1/2" positive offset on a 6" rim yields a backspace of 3.5".
Also listed for F-250s for a wide range of years was K-H #121163 / NWRA code X-45319. It is 16" x 6.5" having otherwise the same description as the above. I find no Ford part number for it, but find it listed for Ford 3/4 and one ton models as well as similar Dodge, GM, and IHC models. Backspacing for this wheel is 3.75". Stu
