"Got her dialed in On the way home, the check engine light came on and I lost throttle response. She wouldn't shut off, just kept coasting with the engine on. Shifted into neutral and back into drive and regained pedal power. Happened 3 times, any idea what would cause that? A sensor or plug?"

This was what I meant... Been doing some massive catching up around here and may have misread this... lol

I meant to say that while driving normally, I lost the accelerator pedal function, but the engine remained on.

It started happening again, and I'm almost 100% sure it is the wiring loom driver's side under the turbo intake. I've already replaced the go pedal.

Some have found the bolt through the middle loose and then if you look at the pic again you'll see a rub mark on the valve cover right below it. Some have found wires on the bottom of the bundle worn through right there

Thank you AllaboutMPG, I'm going to save that pic for my electrician. What's the best solution? Replace wire loom section with OEM or from scratch?

The wires if damaged have usually just rubbed through the insulation. Liquid electrical tape or tape to repair insulation then something heavier to prevent future rubbing

I can't get over the fact that you drilled holes in your roof to mount train horns...... It was such a nice truck...... So sad.....
