hellwig helper spring?

has anybody used the hellwig 2500 or 3500 lbs helper springs? I was thinking of adding them to my E350 that is fully loaded with supplies.

They are NOT airbags..They are like a big rubber Do-nut...... You put one on each side...They Add 1500 lbs load capacity .....For Me , It helps a lot ..I can carry a Skid of shingles ( 4800 lbs ) In the Van .... No problem ....so ....

They attach to the axle...not the spring..You remove the Factory Rubber stop on the axle and Install the Timbrens in it's place...VERY easy ...

Am I missing something in that link? I can't find anything listed for an E-Series other than the E450; I have the E250 chassis, extended body.

Timbren are a great accessory

I installed them on my '92 E350 cube van about 8 months ago, took the sagging rear end out (158"wb) and took the body roll totally out.

You remove the OEM bump stop on the frame, and install the rubber "spring" in to the existing location, and install the flat plate with the U-bolts on the axle to support the bottom on the "spring"

Should have taken an hour, but the OE bump stops were rust-welded on, and I had to get the hot wrench on them to get them off.

Also, I went with the 6000 pound units ($295 on e-bay) for the cube van, for your E350, regular van body, the 3600# series should work out fine.

To note, with the "load" I have in the van at all time, I'm tipping the scales at just over 9000#'s and I've had pallets up to 1600# slid in the box, with NO sag in the rear end. And No body roll going down the highway.

Well worth the $$$ for a "over-use" work van

And less that the $560 I spent on the "added 2 leafs" on my old cube van, and ended up with a very stiff ride.

There are no parts in the Suspension Rubber Helper Spring Kit category that fit your vehicle.
