e4od bw1356 on a 2wd c6.

I have a 2wd c6 I'm putting in my ext cab long box 91 f250 with a 460. I have a 1356 t case off a e4od tranny and I'm trying to figure out if it will bolt up or not.

The c6 is currently in my brothers 77 f250 so it'd be hard to see if it will work, and I don't want to drop his tranny to find out it won't.

Nope won't work at all, a 2wd trans has to be completely dismantled and rebuilt as a 4wd version with a different output shaft.

is the output shaft compatible with the 1356? i dont have a front drive shaft nor do i have the funds to have a rear shaft made. if i run the 1356 in 2wd at all times will problems still arise?

The output shaft of the C6 is not compatible with the input shaft of the transfer case. You'll have to replace the output shaft of the C6 with C6 4x4 parts.

Once that is done, sure, you don't have to run a front drive shaft and all will be fine, but I don't think the C6 is the same length as an E4OD anyway, so you'd still need a new rear shaft.

Better off using the C6 without the t-case and having a rear shaft made up, or try to find one at a yard.
