Do the triton v10s suck gas?

I found a fantastic deal on a f350 v10, but I've head the average mpg is around 8. Anyone have any input on this? I appreciate it a lot.
Thanks

Did the space shuttle use a little fuel? LOL. Not many engines worse than the V10 but that being said it pulls really good...For groceries get an f150..

Ha , do cows eat grass? Its a 10 cylinder 7000 pound truck so yes they suck the gas. Depending on your driving style and whether its city or highway driving 8 is about right. Some have reported 12 on the highway staying between 60 and 65..

I know if I care about fule millage to get a Prius but I don't wanna be broke in a month and not be able to afford the gas. It's going to be towing a trailer for sure so I can make money mowing lawns!
I'm
Not even sure if it's worth looking at?

The fuel economy difference between the V8 and V10 isn't that much. From what I gather it's perhaps 1-2 MPG in any given situation.

What kind of fuel economy are you expecting in a Super Duty?

How much lawn equipment will you be towing? Unless you have several zero turns, etc.. I'd say stick with a good 1/2 ton truck, or at the largest a 3/4 ton. Not only is the 350 & 250 going to get dismal mileage, the maintenance costs will be significantly more, the size of the vehicle getting in and out of subdivisions, etc.. Alot to consider. With all that being said, the SD's will hold up better to the constant towing, but it is going to cost you more money. IMHO, you don't need a bulldozer to plow a garden.

It will just be one mower... Sure I could so it with a half ton but I'm not putting a plow on a half ton..

If you want good mileage and power, you will need to pony up for the diesel

Are you suggesting that he is going to have issues getting in and out of subdivisions using a 1 ton truck?

Just making an abstract joke about overkill, the SD's with the V-10 are no doubt setup to tow, just don't expect low mileage. Personal choice I suppose, but reading your post about wanting to save money, or make money as it were, I don't think the SD is in your best interest.

I'd love to get a diesel but I don't have 10k to spend. I can get this v10 for 2k with a plow already on it.
