New (reman) carb

So, the carb on my 292 in the '58 was missing the choke linkage and was in pretty sad shape.

I ordered a reman one. It's an Autolite 2100. It arrived in 2 days. (insert happy dance). However, between weather an illness I was stuck looking at my shiny new toy sitting in the garage for a week and half.

Today we have decent weather, and although I am still fighting muscle spasms in my back I couldn't stand it any longer. I did the swap. The new carb seems to have an automatic choke of some sort. The truck fired as soon as the ol' girl had go juice. I was letting it run while I waited to see where she would settle after warming up and notice the new carb leaking.

I replaced the rotten fuel lines and added an inline fuel filter.

AND, took my shiny new carb back to the store. They immediately ordered me a new one. It should be here in 2 days.

I got another reman carb today. No leaks! I was able to take it out for a test drive. The ol' boy is feeling better already. Now I need to get the new carb dialed in

I installed a clear inline fuel filter. lol

The air cleaner is only temporary. There are some clearance issues for the lower plate.

A previous owner cut out the exhaust crossover and then goobered a dual exhaust setup. It's a leaky mess.
