What's the right engine with the least pain and grief?

Hey guys, hope everyone is doing well here on the site. It's been awhile since my last post, but things are always busy here, especially with work. Lately I've been checking out the Ford engines as far as V-8 power is concerned, since the 223 won't suffice for the power I need. My main issue is not only finding a good v-8 Ford motor for my truck, but one that I won't have to do much modifications to the crossmember and motor mounts for it to fit, unless it's totally necessary. I'm thinking maybe a 302, 289, or even 351 Windsor or Cleveland. Hopefully any of you guys with enough experience in custom motor swapping can give me a detailed idea of what to be concerned about in the process and motor mount kits and extra crossmembers having to be welded to the frame or extra wiring. I'm thinking that a 302 might be an easier engine to locate, but for now I'm trying to get the 223 up and running in some sort of reasonable shape, if for nothing else than to get him back on the roads. I've already got all the seals and gaskets for the 223 and I'm planning to get a new alternator and coil, as well as the starter, and I also got my hands on a rebuilt Ford transmission I believe was used on a Cleveland, but I'm not completely sure. Anyway, if you guys can give any detailed step by step procedures and instructions for something like this, I would be extremely greatful to all of your help. Thanks to all of you here on the site.

Since you have so much stuff for the 223, rin it awhile, you might become attch! I have! They are a sweet little engine that just sets there and purrs when things are right!

Loving my 292 Y block (.040" over) Wouldn't change it for anything, except another 292 Y block.
