The steering box is still available - it is situated directly above the frame - the plate that bolts to the frame is on the inside of the frame rail, but the majority of the box itself is located directly above the frame. This is my first dentside in a long time so I don't know if that's good, bad or atypical.....

 

Is there anyway you could post a picture of it?
