Within the last few weeks my super duty battery has been dead after sitting a few days. Draw is around 80 ma. When I pull the air bag fuse it drops to 10 ma. Before I tear in to this thing I wanted to see if anyone has ran into this before or has a suggestion on where to start. Thanks.

 

80 mA will take a month to drain a good battery.

 

Are you sure about that? With the door open and and dome light on etc, Its 120 so I gain 40 ma with a light on and gain 70 ma with the air bag fuse in. I have a 3 month old motorcraft battery and it's the bigger of the 2 options.

 

I've always been told that 10mA is about the limit for parasitic draw. Of course that varies with each vehicle. Just be careful messing with the airbag circuits, it would suck to set one off. You may want to disconnect the battery and then unplug each airbag before troubleshooting further.
