Anyone happen to pick up the I believe Jan addition of Classic Truck? The title on eh cover was "Home Built Hauler." The truck on the cover is a 55 Chevy but it has the most amazing color and I would sure like to see if anyone here has any idea what that color is. The article says it was a custom mix but was hoping someone here might have seen this color before and could help me figure it out. Have tried to find a way to get in contact with the owner and ask him but so far no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The paint is made by House of Kolor and is probably in the Shimrin 2 product line. Take a look at this website and you will see how many variations there are in any given color range: House of Kolor - Shimrin 2 Colors
My truck is HOK Sunset Pearl PBC31 which is close to the color of this truck. The new Shimrin 2 line gives the painter the option of a basic hue and additionally many other "FX" effects options which add pearls, metallics, etc. A quart of Shimrin 2 is really 24 oz which leaves room in the can to add 8 oz of FX additive. Be sure to bring a heavy wallet when you go to the paint store!
