Looking to buy again

So I had a 6.0 and I sold it and I'm looking for a 7.3. I found a 97 f350 dually. Automatic. 4wd no rust. Few scratches. Has a small oil leak and the guy wants 7. It needs tires soon. It has 230K on it and I figured an offer of 4000 was good. What do you guys think? Has a reman motor and a rebuilt tranny supposedly. Just like to get everyone's opinion. Thanks

These truck didn't come DRW 4x4 from the factory someone did a 4x4 swap or it was a conversion truck.

Does he have papers to prove new engine and trans ?

7k isn't a bad price for that truck

Sounds like 4 would be too low. You could pobably part one out and get 4. Unless he is desperate. But tires do cost so you might have leverage there. Welcome to the forum!

No paperwork. He bought it from a guy then bought a dodge and doesn't need this one anymore.

I'd try 5800 and use the fact that it needs tires. Those are gonna hit you for 1500

I just looked at a 95 Ford XLT 7.3L 4x4 turbodiesel 132,000 miles ---$8900. Pretty clean pickup.
