7.3 Hydro boost pressure line

I just picked up a new power steering pump at ford. $200 ouch but i wanted OEM.

Now the hydro boost line is $111 at ford.
the auto parts store has one for $30 ?

I had the stock line blow about two years ago and put on a O-Reilly's line and it has been good .

Have any of you used or use an auto part store Line ?

I put one in from NAPA a month or so ago. It's still there.

Put one from NAPA on the wife's truck almost 2 years ago. It's still working too.

The line going to the gear box is over $400.oo . Still haven't found my leak yet. My lines and pump seem dry.

for that kind of money I would take the old one to a hydraulic shop and have them make me one, I bet it wouldn't be more than $100.

I agree. If it was that line I would of done that or took a chance at NAPA or auto Zone.

My ps pump blew on me while on the road in Arkansas one block from the O'Riely's store, so I removed the serpentine belt, drove back to O'Riely's, got the new line, borrowed some tools and fixed the sucker right there in the parking lot. Took a little while to bleed the system down but the line is still on the truck - at least two years plus now.
