Seat belt pretensioner problems

I have a 2001 F250. It has the yellow wires coming up through the carpet that lead to the pretensioner. The truck has seats from a 2005. The wires are not hooked up. I cannot find where you plug them in. These seats have the built in seat belts right above your shoulder. I looked a it said that pretensioners where standard in 2005. Can someone please help me out? It almost has to be up in the part by the shoulder but why would they not run a wire down? Pictures would be helpful. I have had that apart but couldn't see much. Thanks

I have an 06 and don't have the pretensioners.
be very careful around the units, You don't want to
probe then with a DMM. The power that the DMM
uses to check what the Ohms Ω are can/will fire
a pretensioner.

See if you can get a look at the wiring diagram for
the year you got the seats from. Also make sure that
your look at the one with the same seat options.

Thank you. I thought I read that they came standard, but if yours does not have them then obviously not. Has anyone had this problem before and how can I fix it?
Thanks

I'll do some snooping around my truck to make sure that I don't.
But from what I have seen when I remove the seats for the heater
replacement I did not see them. They might be in the pillars but than
again I would have to check.
Are you getting any dash lights coming on or are you worries that they
system will not work if you have need in an accident?

One place for some info is you Ford dealership. You need to talk to
the service manager and not the person that does the wirte-ups. They
tend to be clue-les

Very true. I am worried about both. My dash light is on for the air bag so it would be a tough sale when I get rid of it. If you take the bulb out then the dinger dings all of the time. And I am not sure what will happen if I am in an accident.

I should not say this but...
You could put the test simulators in for the belts.

What do you mean test simulator? I thought about just buying the two pretensioners, but I'm worried they won't mount the same. By looking at the ford parts website they look like they mount with one torx bolt like originals. I'm calling ford tomorrow to make sure. Ahh the joys of owning an old pickup. I just can't give up a 7.3. I love this thing

A test simulator is used for testing. You unplug the explosive and plug the simulator
in and that way you don't have to kiss an airbag or any of the pretensioners good by.

They look something like this one for the Ranger. You have to get the right one for your application.

Thats not a bad idea, but I think I will just buy pretensioners to replace my regular buckles. Probably the best solution. They mount the same and it will be legit again.

I have a ranger. I had a similar issue and replaced my pretensioners with regular buckles. that really made difference.
