How long did it take for the acetone to loosen the paint?????
How much 'scrubbing' did you have to do???
The reason I ask.....
I have used a chemical called "Hancolite" also called "Ancolite".
It's used to de-glaze the rollers in printing presses.
It will remove the paint from those logos in a matter of seconds, with a quick 'swipe' with a toothbrush!
Several items of note, regarding Hancolite.
1. You can pour/spill it on car/truck paint, and it will make it "krinkle" in a matter of seconds.
2. It will take car/truck paint OFF. I mean... down to bare metal in a matter of seconds.
3. It will 'eat' vinyl gloves.
4. It contains Toulene, which is a known carcinogen.
5. You must store it in a fire cabinet and maintain/keep MSDS on the amount of Hancolite you possess.
6. IF you get it on your skin, it removes the moisture from your skin, and feels very cool to-the-touch.
7. It costs over $55.00 per gallon!

in truth it took me about 2 hours total to do five emblems, first acetone evaporates fast so the paint will redry fast, however the acetone on the qtip will help this because it is soaked, at the end my hand was a little sore but once it got going it came off rather fast, just tape it off and take your time.
i am not sure what to say about the other chemical, i would wonder holw it would respond to the chrome on the emblem i would stick with acetone.
