I have been reading some older threads about the spacing blocks used under the cross members on F250 truck boxes, mine is a 54. I take it F100's did not use these blocks. My question is, does anyone have exact dimensions for these blocks? I pulled a couple of the old ones off a old box I am using for parts, they look like just a square piece that sits inside the cross member. Looking through Mid Fifty's parts catalog, they show a picture of them, they seem to have one side cut out on some of the blocks. Wondering why this would be needed. I am thinking about just cutting my own out of oak, really don't want to spend $45 for wood blocks, but want to make sure they fit when I get ready to put the box back on.

 

Here is a picture I have of some blocks. I think these dimensions are for the 57-60 trucks. I have no idea if they are the same for the earlier or not. Heck, I can't even remember where I got the drawing from.

 

Thanks for the info, I would think the boxes didn't change enough that the blocks should have stayed the same, but from what I can see the old blocks seem to look all about the same. I'll have to do a little more research.
