I've only had experience with Pro Comp, and would definitely recommend their products. I had an 8" lift with their MX6 6-way adjustable shocks professionally installed by 4-Wheel Parts for just over $2,400. No saggy springs or rusted parts in over three years. No death wobble or wandering issues either.

Rough country makes a very affordable 3" kit. I put the stage 2 kit in my company ride. Has all the drop brackets and such. And like I said, affordable

You can get lift kits that will last the Chicago winters. I hate salt and they seem to use 2 inches of salt for an inch of snow.

I have heard good things from pro-comp from a few of my jeep friends. They beat on them off roading during the summer and they will take a lot of abuse.

X2 on the salt they use....and we might get 4" of snow tonight.....
My lift kit looks like the day I installed it.
Dont forget that a lifted truck is easier to clean the undercarriage.

I'm in Colorado and we get a fair amount of sand/salt and magnesium chloride on the roads throughout the winter. Nothing like the good old rust belt though. When I said I only had experience with Pro Comp, that was relative to Super Duty lifts. Someone mentioned Rough Country in another post -- affordable, yes; long lasting, not so much. I had a 3" RC lift on my old Jeep and it was sagging on the left rear and the lower control arm flex joints were pretty much garbage. I had to rebuild them about one a year.
