Got a new project. It's part everything. Got to love AMC

Moved the shackles to the rear of the springs, put a different front drive shaft on that I had layin around that was luckily the right size/length. Bought a regular set of perches, hogged the driver side out, trimmed off part of pumpkin, and put bigger diameter u bolts on. Put longer shock on, moved the brake line tabs down. The steering at the pitman arm had just enough flex in it to not bind at full drop.

Got it all done. Need new shocks for the rear, and a drop pitman arm to keep bump steer to a min. The rear you can see the brackets I made to relocate the front of the springs. The back, I cut out the bottom of the hanger and stuck the shackle in from the bottom. But I'm going to have to redo that, the shackle angle is not where I'd like it to be. It ended up being 7 inches of lift.

Here's a shot compared to the ex.

Easier to clean that bowl than replace numerous fuel filters. That tank has some crap in it. Lol

Kinda sad, I won't be able to fit bigger tires without cutting, or changing the suspension some...

These are the 31x10.50R15s that where on it, and they are on 15x10s

Not anymore. The back never was, front was. It's raised 7 inches over stock right now.

Dang. Worse thing about jeep is they require so much lift to clear 35's.

I had one of those tanks years ago. Bone stock it would push snow with the hood uphill. Didn't have the money to put into it and lost it to rust. It is on my top five best vehicles ever owned.
