heres another question what bout TFI ignition system

all my wires under hood was a mess when I got the truck it's an 81 & was a 2 barrel 351w motor. I switched it to 4 barrel and new carb an distributor but went with an hei one so I could eliminate all the boxes dura spark an junk wires thought it be an easy fix.
but since I got my new 408 motor I was thinking tryin to keep it all ford I never herd till tonight that they made a distributor like chevs hei with there tfi
is it worth looking into? are they smaller round than the big bulky hei's???

thanks once again

TFI requires a computer and sensors to control the timing of the engine. You do not want it unless you are going Ford fuel injection. They had a lot of problems with them and the heat from the distributor also.
