I had an issue with uber-smoke at cold startup, and tuning didn't clean it up. I didn't want to nurture nervousness needlessly, but I'll have to share this: I bought a ninth injector. Why? This right here. I had a smoker in there (as you did with the broken O-ring), and it took me a little while to isolate it. I popped the 9th in the offending hole and sent the extracted stick in for rework. I actually had two smokers and one was a knocker - the second one was because the top square-ish O-ring (cushion ring) was rolled at installation. Apparently, this is enough to cause issues with the injector. Replacing the O-rings on the knocker/smoker (and not rolling the cushion ring) fixed things right up.

Ask HKusp how a small problem with the cushion ring makes a big problem, and maybe he'll post the picture of that distorted upper oil O-ring. You know... that O-ring that's supposed to hold back up to 3000 PSI if it has enough support to do so.
