Rancho 9000 Shocks Rebate

I'm gearing up for the V/modded B upgrade to my X and purchased for Rancho Shocks from Advance Auto Parts using coupon code TRT30. (1 shock per order to make them $81 and change each)

I also noticed Rancho is giving a $100 prepaid visa when you buy 4 RS9000 shocks which ultimately makes each shock $55 each!

http://www.gorancho.com/promotions/r...pad_us_web.pdf

So if your wanting some shocks for any reason, it seems like a pretty good deal for Rancho Shocks at $55 after discounts and rebates!!

Did Advance give you any grief about ordering 1 at a time? How long is the code good for?
Thanks!

I installed the rear yesterday on my 2wd X. Going for the fronts today. The passenger side front seems to be a bit difficult to get to the nut in the engine compartment. But going for it today.

No, they all shipped and should be here today.

As for the code, I don't know how long it is good for as I've been using it for awhile now.

After you get them all installed, I'd be interested in your thoughts on the ride quality of them in the different settings.

Will do, drove it work today. I have 2wd and pull quite a bit. So I started with 7 in rear and 5 in front. So far so good. Not sure how old my old shocks were. Could be original, but cant really say for sure. One the the front on the 2wd was infinitely harder to get on compared to the rears. Trying to get the screw in engine compartment was tough. Almost made me reconsider spending the $200 labor I was quoted to install.....Almost

Will report back once I do some driving.

Oh ya the bad part of the rebate was that I bought mine 2 weeks too early

Are there different sizes of shocks? I could use some new ones for my EX, but I have a lift? Is it a one size fits all? I've never bought shocks before...

Yes there is different sizes. I know on rancho site it asks if stock or lift and such. I don't have a lift so not sure what you need.

Well looks like there is factory or +4"... So I have a 3" lift, does that mean I go with the stock or the +4" shock?

Ya that was my stomping ground. Oklahoma is nice, but Colorado is superb, really like it up here.

I got mine ordered last night. It was a pita to order them 1 at a time but for the money saved I'm not going to complain too loud. All of my shocks are original (105,000 miles) I noticed the fronts were leaking when I did my v code swap so I bit the bullet. I will let you guys know how they ride!

The rebate says that it cannot be combined with any other discounts or rebates. It also says you have to buy 4 9000s, not one four times. Keep us updated on the rebate. I'm totally going to take advantage of the $35 per shock discount with that TRT30 code, worth it even if you don't get the $100 prepaid card.
