226 6 cyl fan belt

Anyone have part numbers or belt size for 1949 F4 226 6 cyl wide fan belt water pump and generator/alternator. I have done the 12v conversion with alternator. I got a belt from NAPA but it is only large enough for the water pump.

Here you go. I highlighted the original. If the alternator is in the same location as the generator and the same size pulley it should work, otherwise you may need the next one which is about 2" longer. If you can verify the length that should make it easy.

Yea, the Gates is about .05" longer which should pose no problem so long as the length needed is the same as original. Guess I was sniping the chart while you were posting, good job.

I really wouldn't want an NOS belt, no telling how old it is. NAPA appears to have it in stock:

What do you think the NAPA belt is? More than likely...NOS! How long has it been layin' around?

When was the last time anyone remade any of these fan belts?
