HELP! Coolant in my Crankcase

I've been losing coolant for a long time and never knew where it was going and I was in a few days ago checking my fuel pressure (cuz my sending unit apparently went bad) so I had my intake off down to the CCV breather tube and noticed moisture that wasn't oil so I popped the vent tube off the crankcase and stuck my finger down it and my finger was dripping with coolant when I pulled it out. Can someone please tell me what's going on. Any input would be appreciated.

Did you pull the dipstick and check there also? Pretty dang unusual to see coolant in the crankcase, much less under the valve cover.

By crankcase vent I'm guessing you meant from the driver side valve cover to the air intake to turbo tube?

My guess would be blown head gaskets

Ya that's what I meant. I pulled dipstick also and the level was a little high but smelled like oil. I haven't drained any oil or coolant to check for mix. The truck runs good and I never see smoke out the exhaust. But it runs my business and now I'm scared to fire it up.

That's extremely rare. Almost impossible.

If it was running with coolant in the oil it would look like chocolate milk. Are you absolutely sure it's coolant?

Ya I'm pretty sure. That's what I thought was wierd. I was expecting to have oil on my finger when I took it out instead it was pretty much clear not milky or mixed looking

If it is coolant I would say check your front cover for cavitation.

Front cover with an internal leak would fill the oil pan

Now I haven't had a Coolant & Oil Mix problem on my truck But I have had a Couple cars do it and it results in a White sludge stuff in the Valve covers

I have had my 6.0L Leak Diesel fuel into the Oil from worn injector Orings

You should be able to drain the Oil and Let it sit water and oil don't mix so you should see it if you let it sit in a Clear container so you can see it

Yea I thought maybe it was since he said his oil level was high. But who know until he drains it.

Well theres no water in my oil. Then I thought, the oil is under higher pressure so there would be oil in the coolant so I drained some and checked in the degas and its good yellow clear coolant. so I popped the CCV tube again and its not sopping wet inside like the other day but the little bit of whats in there is clear liquid. I tried to clean my hands from the oil I drained but I think the liquid in the ccv smelled a little sweet. My coolant level was about a quarter inch below the max line when I left home this morning now its a little closer to the max line.

My guess its condensation in your ccv tube. You can taste a little if you want, you will tell real quick if it coolant. Your level in the degas bottle should be at the minimum mark not the max. I know its all jacked up but thats the way it is.
