Just brought my 63 Unibody Home

New owner, always wanted one of these unibodys, and when I went to sell my old ttop mustang, there was someone wanting to trade.

I am in this truck about 1000 bucks, runs, drives have new wheels and tires in the garage that will fit already. Very minor rust issues, and overall pretty good shape. Down the road I will start the research as to what it takes to put a 351 or 429 in this rig as I have both laying on my garage floor For now some rust work and primer job.

Hey msorensen, Welcome to FTE and congrats on the "new" uni!! We love pics so post some up when you get a chance. Is it a shortbed or long?

It is the long bed, when I figure out how to imbed some photos I will do that.

Does anyone know if the front end is the same as the regular F100? Looking to do the crown vic swap but can't find much info to the unibody specific. Assuming they are the same.

Any good parts specific sites for parts, or is ebay and craigslist the best bet on these bad boys? Need a few small things for now, and then will drive with the straight six through the summer. Got new wheels and tires on her yesterday, and now it drives half way decent. Going to need new brakes for the drums....once I can get them off.

Thanks for the pics! To my knowledge, the frames are exactly the same '61-'64 except for a couple of different body mounts near rear of the cab on the uni's. Unfortunately you posted in the Uni section, which rarely gets any traffic other than me & Garbz. If you really want answers more quickly I suggest you post down in the '61-66 section and don't use "unibody" in your subject line.

There's also a great thread for a longbed uni build on Slick60's using Jaguar front & rear suspension. Kstone63, who's also a member here is building it. Check it out.
