Rear springs and over load bumpers

I have a f100 but looking at this set up it looks like something more. Are the springs normaly like this? There are additional 1'' block that goes under the spring. the truck also had what I call adjustable bump stops to add support for heavy loads that were placed on both sides. are they stock or after market. I only want to use what is needed to make the truck a easy cruiser. I am flipping the axle and only want what is needed.

I bet the extra stuff was an aftermarket overload set up. I don't need it. Thanks.

How are the springs in your F-100? As I understand from your build thread, you want to lower your truck. Doing the axle flip will drop it about 5" and will put your axle pretty close to the frame unless you add a 'C' section or what's called a 'notch'. If you use your stock springs it will still ride like a truck and the springs you have posted here will only add to the harshness of the ride. If you plan on hauling heavy loads this may be what you need, but if I understand what you mean by 'easy cruiser', I'm thinking softer ride. It's difficult to have both.
On my '56, I did the axle flip and removed 2 leaves from the pack along with a C section. It softened the ride somewhat and lowered to truck a bit more.

I agree Steve, I have a notch kit on the way. I was going to remove the over load springs and adjust from there. I want a soft ride. I have other trucks for hauling. 5'' in rear. I have the front axle on the way to do a 3'' drop. Not sure how it will turn out. I'm hoping the truck will be fairly level. but I can adjust from there. I just need to get an engine in it first..
