My truck is a 6 cyl. It must have been born with the 254 but now sports a 235 ohv with the 4 sync behind it. At least i think it still has the 4 sync. Thats what the vin tag says. If I can be of help, let me know. Hard to believe the tires didnt slide or the brake didnt slip before the carrier broke like that. Looks like a tuff loss. And forks from the side is one of my biggest pet pevs. Lots of bad things can happen when trying to save one of these old soldiers.

I seems you were there also, next time I'll just stand on the side and let you take care of it. I guess that's what I get for trying to help Quit your whining
BTW, the non sychro tranny has reverse over to the right and down, the synchronized tranny has reverse over to the right and up. I thought all '51 and '52 came with the synchronized trannies.

So, the center support bracket shows to be available at a couple places, and the center support cushion (rubber part) seems to be cheap and available at Mac's and other places (ignore Mac's fitment info, same number used into the '50's):
Support bracket: 01T-4808-B
Support bracket cushion: 01T-4826-B
Support bracket: 01T-4808-B
Support bracket cushion: 01T-4826-B
